If you are new to North Manchester Fitness, take a look at the sessions below and see if you'd like to come along. Contact one of the team first so we can confirm the details and welcome you on the day!

Lorraine Platt

Pilates with Lorraine

6pm – 7pm, St John Bosco’s Hall, Charlestown Rd, Blackley M9 7BD (free parking)

Pilates is a form of gentle exercise which concentrates on balance, mobility and core strengthening. It can be standing or chair-based, depending on your mobility and is fully inclusive and open to all abilities. If you have exercises given to you by a physiotherapist, we can work through these with you.

A fun session which includes a section of cardio/vascular exercise which could be Zumba, Belly-dancing or Rock ‘n’ roll and all with great music.  We always finish the Pilates session with a few minutes of total relaxation.

£2 per session


Donna Young

Circuits with Donna

6pm – 7pm, St John Bosco’s Hall, Charlestown Rd, Blackley M9 7BD (free parking)

Be fit, increase your metabolism, boost your fitness levels with an all over body workout. Any ability. Great if your goal is toning and strength conditioning, or just general fitness.

£2 per session


Margaret Dolan

Walking Group with Margaret Dolan

6pm – 7pm,
Manchester Communication Academy,
Silchester Drive
Manchester M40 8LD
(Meet at the Sports Reception | Free parking)

Walking session for all abilities to develop agility and speed, aiming to complete 5k in 50 minutes. A good occasion for walk and talk.


Donna Young

Hiitstep with Donna Young

6pm – 7pm, Manchester Communication Academy, Silchester Drive, Manchester M40 8LD (free parking)

Hiitstep (High Intensity Interval Training) is a 20-25 minute intense workout. Using Reebok Steps, you can burn fat and calories. A Hiitstep workout will leave you feeling and looking good. We’ll have your legs shaking!

£2 per session

2pm – 3pm, Whitebeck Court, Ground Floor, Victoria Avenue East, Blackley M9 7HR (free parking)

It can be standing or chair-based, depending on your mobility and is fully inclusive and open to all abilities. If you have exercises given to you by a physiotherapist, we can work through these with you.

A fun session which includes a section of cardio/vascular exercise which could be Zumba, Belly-dancing or Rock ‘n’ roll and all with great music.  We always finish the Pilates session with a few minutes of total relaxation followed by a cup of tea/coffee and a chat.

Run/walk with Tommy Brown 

9am – 10am, Tesco, Victoria Avenue East, Blackley M9 6HP (free parking)

Runners or walkers are all welcome – beginners or returners, all ages, all abilities.

Please wear suitable trainers and kit for the session – you don’t have to go out and buy anything new, give us a call for advice first!

7.45am – 8.45am, Boggart Hole Clough, Rochdale Road, Blackley  (meet on the running track, near main entrance on Charlestown Road)

Sprint training can burn fat, build muscle and boost your metabolic rate! Why not give it a go, all abilities welcome.
